All submitted applications for the 2024 Young Carer Bursary were reviewed by the Independent Assessment Panel and all applicants were notified between 7-23 December 2023. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder for an email from [email protected].
If your application was successful and you were approved for a bursary, the first payment will be processed once all supporting documents have been submitted and approved. To ensure a smooth process and to avoid delays, please Login (via the green button above) to the Young Carers Network Portal and complete the following:
PEASE NOTE: The remaining Conditionally Approved applicants only have until 5pm on 29 February 2024 to complete the tasks above. This includes applicants who are still showing as ‘In Panel Assessment’ when you log into the portal (this is due to one, or both of the last two tasks listed above not being completed when your application was last viewed. We cannot move your status, or approve your application until the above three tasks are complete).
If the tasks are not completed by the deadline, your bursary will automatically be forfeited and offered to the next person on our Shortlist.
The Young Carer Bursary Program supports young carers to continue with their education and reduce their need to undertake paid work at the same time as their study and caring duties.
The program offers 1,592 bursaries of $3,768 each year to assist with education needs and resources.
