We’ve been listening to your feedback, and we’re excited to share the improvements we’ve made to the Young Carer Bursary Program. These changes are all about making things easier for you. We’ll continue to make changes, so continue giving us your feedback.

What's new?

Improved login system

Before. Our old system wasn’t the best. Let’s just say it’s gone.

Now. Create one account that works every time you use our new system. Less frustration, guaranteed!

 

We've made things better for you!

Streamlined application process

Before. We asked for information bit by bit throughout the process, which could be time-consuming.

Now. We ask for all the information upfront, including your bank details. This means less back-and-forth, you know exactly what’s needed from the start and you don’t hear from us throughout the year.

Before. If you’re under 18, getting parental consent could be a paperwork headache.

Now. We’ve gone digital! After you submit your application, we’ll:

    • Automatically email a digital consent form to your parent or guardian
    • They can sign it electronically – quick and easy!
    • No more chasing paper forms

Less paperwork for you

Before. We asked for lots of supporting documents.

Now. We’ve reduced the amount of documentation required. Less scanning, less uploading, less stress!

One clear answer

Before. You could be successful, unsuccessful or have conditional approval.

Now. We just let you know if you’re successful or unsuccessful.

Why these changes?

We made these improvements because:

  • You told us the old system was sometimes confusing, time consuming or frustrating
  • We want to make it easier for you to apply and receive support
  • We believe in continuously improving our service to you
