Are you ready to share your story with the world? We’re looking for confident content creators aged 12-25 who are juggling the challenges of caring, while embracing the adventures of youth.
Submit a 30-second audition video using the form below. Our team will then select eight young people who will each receive a state-of-the-art filming kit worth $1,000 to capture a day in the life of a young carer. The best part: you get to keep the kit when you’re done filming!

I’m under 18; do I need permission from a parent/guardian to participate?
Yes. In the entry form above, please select your age from the drop down. Your parent/guardian will need to agree to the terms and conditions before you can proceed.
What should I include in my video?
Show us a bit about yourself, what kind of care you provide, and why you want to be a part of “A Day in the Life” challenge.
If selected, what do I get for participating?
You will receive a state-of-the-art filming kit worth $1,000 to showcase the real, raw experiences of being a young carer. And when you’re done filming, you get to keep the kit!
How will my audition video be used?
Your audition video will only be shared internally with the Carers Australia team and our media producers.
